How to Shutdown or Restart Windows without updates

Windows Shutdown or Restart has started to become a nightmare after Microsoft forces updates during shutdown or restart processes. On Windows 7, you had the option to either update your OS manually, automatically or do nothing at all but on Windows 10, update automatically is the only choice. The sad fact is that the EULA which you had agreed upon during installation explicitly states that you are not in control of what you update on your OS except device driver updates.

But there is still one way to bypass the updates and have your computer/laptop quick shutdown or restart by using command prompts. To shutdown quickly, just type in this command line:

1 shutdown -f -t 00
-f=force

-t=time

-r restart

To restart, just type in this command line:
1 shutdown -r -f -t 00
